Racing; Monster Energy to sponsor Super X
Energy behemoth throws it weight behind local racingThe Australasian Supercross Championship, Super X, has signed a multi-year naming rights sponsorship deal with global energy drink, Monster Energy.
"Super X provides an extremely unique opportunity for Monster Energy to own a growing sport in Australasia and I am so pleased that such an exciting and globally successful brand has agreed to partner with us," said the managing director of Global Action Sports, Mike Porra.
"The Monster Energy sponsorship will help us further develop the series into the mainstream. We are now well on our way to having the second biggest supercross championship in the world and becoming a regular feature on the international supercross calendar."
Monster is already the naming rights sponsor for the massive AMA Supercross Championship, won this year by James Stewart after a ding-dong battle with Australia's Chad Reed.
Stewart will contest the final round of this year's Super X in Brisbane on December 5, while American legend Jeremy Grath will also return for selected rounds. Reed is the defending champion.

October 31, Perth, WA
November 7 - Canberra, ACT
November 14 - Parramatta, NSW
November 21 - Auckland, NZ
