Racing boss pens open letter after bitter Sepang GP

Vito Ippolito has jumped on the front foot with an open letter — but without naming names…

The shenanigans and fallout of last Sunday's bitter MotoGP race at Sepang has gone right to the top, with FIM President Vito Ippolito releasing an open letter to the 'MotoGP community' about the damaging effects of the very public feud between Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez.

The letter reads as follows:

"The recent events arising in connection with the competition for the 2015 FIM MotoGP™ world title have had a damaging effect on the staging of our competitions and poisoned the atmosphere around the sport. We are moving away from the tradition of pride in sportsmanship that is part of the heritage of motorcycling.

All eyes will now turn to Valencia from November 6-8 as the big guns take to the track for the finale to a championship which has had it all.
