Are you are one of those people who would like to go to the next level at track days, but are not really enarmoured with the idea of joining a club and racing on weekends? Then read on.
In 2011, Wakefield Park in Goulburn (NSW) will be introducing the Xtreme ‘Race Your Mates’ Track Day Challenge.
The three challenge events will only take place during week days, and will be open to either riders who have never raced previously or competitors who retired at least five years ago. Ex-racers will have their own group, as will riders fresh to racing.
How will it work? There will be five groups, which will be split up according to lap times in two 10-minute timed practice and qualifying sessions.
Each group will then get four five-lap races.
All competitors will need either a MA or AASA national competition license to compete.
Proposed challenge dates for the first half of 2011 are Wednesday, February 23, Wednesday, April 6 and Friday, June 24.
