The Queensland wing of Honda Australia Rider Training (HART) has teamed up with a number of local motorcycle dealerships to present its inaugural 'Test Ride and Training Day'.
To be held just outside of Brisbane at the Pinkenba complex, the event will take place on Saturday, July 4 and will also coincide with the introduction of the Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme (LAMS) in Queensland.
According to Honda, the event is "designed to offer customers an insight into the Honda LAMS range of motorcycles, as well as provide information on rider training courses available to all riders, regardless of skill level".
In other words, it wants to attract those already immersed in motorcycling, and those interested in taking up the two-wheeled cause.
The day will encompass free "Try It" sessions. If you or someone you know has never ridden a motorcycle before, these sessions allow newbies to try two-wheels in a controlled and safe environment with trained instructors on hand.
If you want to be part of these sessions, bookings are essential, tel (07) 3860 6629.Other activities include test rides on various LAMS bikes.
There will also be a free sausage sizzle (count me in!), demonstrations of the Honda Riding Simulator, Honda Australia race team member signings and heaps more. All told, it sounds like a decent day out. See the official HART site for more.
