Qld floods force AORC amendment

Both the location and date have been changed, after damage sustained to the original location in Goomburra

As a result of the devestating flooding in Queensland, the third and fourth rounds of the 2011 Australian Off Road Championship (AORC) will no longer be held in Goomburra on March 19-20.

The round will now take place on May 28-29 in Hedley (Vic), and will be hosted by the Corner Inlet Motorcycle Club.

According to AORC co-ordinator Denise Hore, the Goomburra property has sustained significant damage to infrastructure, including roads.

The other rounds in 2011 will be as follows:

February 26-27 – Bulahdelah, NSW
June 18-19 – Dungog, NSW
July 9-10 – Broadford, Vic
August 27-28 – Callington, SA

Supplementary regulations and entry forms for the AORC will be released shortly.
