The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has issued a product safety recall for a range of KTM off-road models.
Specific VIN numbers of the following 2017 models are affected: 250 SX-F, 350 SX-F , 450 XC-F, 150 XC-W, 250 XC-W, 300 XC-W, 250 EXC, 300 EXC Six Days, 300 EXC, 250 EXC-F Six Days, 250 EXC-F, 350 EXC-F Six Days, 350 EXC-F, 450 EXC-F Six Days, 450 EXC-F and 500 EXC-F.

According to the ACCC, "Certain batches have hand brake cylinders with defective machining. This can lead to early wear of the sealing cup in the hand brake cylinder, thus leading to impaired braking performance."
Affected owners will have a recall notification letter sent to them by KTM. They should then return their bike to an authorised KTM dealership for inspection and, if necessary, repair.
