Product recall: Suzuki GSX-R125/GSX-S125

An engine bolt issue which could cause them to loosen

GSX-R125 and GSX-S125

Dates available for sale
December 8, 2016 until March 5, 2018

What is the defect?
Due to improper paint application, the torque specification of the front engine bolts may cause the paint to wear down with heat and vibration from the engine. This could cause the bolts to loosen.

What is the hazard?
The engine mounting bolts may break, which could cause the frame to break. This may pose an accident hazard to the rider and other road users.

What should consumers do?
Consumers are advised to contact their nearest Suzuki dealership to ascertain whether they are affected and have their motorcycle inspected.
