Piaggio Australia has issued a product safety recall for its 2018-model-year Piaggio Zip 50 4T moped, the notice affecting 54 of the scooters sold between March 1, 2019, and June 30, 2019.
The throttle control cable may break.
The scooter may decelerate rapidly, increasing the risk of an accident or injury to the rider.
Consumers should contact their nearest authorised Piaggio dealer and arrange a time for the throttle cable to be modified or replaced free of charge.
