Product recall: BMW C 600 Sport and C 650 GT

Issue with timing chain tensioner on maxi scooters

Details as follows:
What is the defect?
Due to a manufacturing defect the timing-chain tensioner is subject to wear. Gradually the timing chain may no longer be adequately tensioned and could slip its sprockets, causing the engine to stall.

What is the hazard?
If the defect occurs this poses an accident hazard to the rider and other road users.
