An eighth outright victory for the season saw KTM's Toby Price secure the 2015 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) at Kyogle, NSW on July 26.
The New South Welshman claimed his fifth AORC crown with two rounds still remaining, in Dungog, NSW on August 15-16.
Price entered Sunday’s round only needing to finish ahead of Yamaha’s Josh Green, and he did just that by winning and Green finishing third.
Price’s fifth AORC title caps off what has been an amazing fortnight for the 27-year-old, following the announcement of a two-year deal with KTM's factory rally team.
“It's been an unreal month with all the news about the rally stuff coming through, and then to seal the AORC outright championship with two rounds to go is pretty good," said Price. "I'm stoked, and all the KTM crew has worked really hard. There are still two rounds to go though and we've got to try and wrap up the E3 championship as well.
Hollis and Price swapped the second places at Kyogle, and on Saturday it was Daniel Sanders (KTM), Tye Simmonds (KTM) and Lachlan Stanford completing the top five in the sprint format. A day later Green was third from Sanders and Glenn Kearney (Husqvarna).
Saturday's victory for Hollis was his first in AORC competition for two years.
