Price takes AORC lead

The KTM rider powered to a clean sweep in Victoria, and is now leads the 2014 Australian Off-Road Championship by five points over Yamaha's Josh Green

Toby Price (KTM) scored maximum points in rounds five and six of the 2014 Australian Off-Road Championship in Headley (Vic) on the weekend of May 3-4.

Price defeated Yamaha’s Josh Green (pictured) and Husqvarna’s Glenn Kearney on both days – the opener a three-hour cross-country event before the more traditional enduro format returned on Sunday.

After six rounds, Price leads the championship outright on 119 points, from Green (114), Kearney (114), Chris Hollis (Yamaha, 95), Lachlan Stanford (Husqvarna, 90) and defending champion Daniel Milner (Yamaha, 85), who missed the Headley rounds due to injury.

The class leaders are Tom McCormack (Yamaha, E1), Green (E2) and Kearney (E3).

There is now a five-week break before the action picks back up in South Australia for rounds seven and eight in Coonawarra on June 21-22.
