KTM’s Toby Price has won the 2012 Australian Off-Road Championship after yet another sizzling performance at the final two rounds in Kapunda (SA) on August 24-25.
Price completed the 10-round championship on 244pts, to finish ahead of four Yamahas: Daniel Milner (244), Matt Phillips (169), Stefan Merriman (165) and Josh Green (154).
“I’m stoked I came out with the championship, so it’s been a great weekend and a massive big thanks to the Motorex KTM Off-Road team,” said Price.
As well as the outright victory, Price also won the E3 class, with the other major winners being Milner (E1) and Phillips (E2).
“I’m stoked to have finally had a good season in the AORC and to win a national title is amazing,” Milner said.
“I owe so much to Yamaha and to the Ballard’s Off-Road team — without their help and support I wouldn’t have gotten here.
“The rounds this weekend were some of the best this season and some of my best, too.
“Beating Toby yesterday and then riding well again today was a really great way for me to finish the AORC.”
