Preview: 2015 Sydney Motorcycle Show

Motorcycle racing royalty, new models, accessories and a huge line-up of entertainment. Come and check out the Bikesales stand as well

The 2015 Sydney Motorcycle Show will be held at Sydney Showgrounds from November 20-22 and, in addition to special guests like former world 250 GP champion rider Kel Carruthers and Aussie daredevil Robbie Maddison, manufacturers will be out in force displaying their latest wares.

Here are some of the highlights:

YAMAHA
The updated 2016 WR450F will be joined by other 60th anniversary models including the XTZ1200E Super Tenere with electric suspension, the all-new triple cylinder sports ROV YXZ1000R and both the YZF-R1 and R6.

KAWASAKI
The updated 2016 ZX-10R will make its Aussie debut.

HARLEY-DAVIDSON
Harley-Davidson will display a broad mix of 2016 models, including the Softail Slim S, Fat Boy S, (both with 110cu engines), Forty-Eight, Street 500 and the new Iron 883. 'Pepper' will also be there, a specially modified 2015 Road Glide Special which claimed its own piece of history as Australia’s first and fastest bagger in the 2000cc Modified Partial Streamlined – Push Rod Gas (MPS-PG) class at Lake Gairdner (SA) earlier this year.

TRIUMPH
New models galore, including the updated Bonneville family: the Street Twin, T120 Black and the Thruxton R.

SUZUKI
The SV650 is back, and it will be on the Suzuki stand.

Friday’s ‘Media Walk’ is open to the public for the first time and will host reveals from Yamaha, Suzuki, Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Victory, Indian Motorcycle, Kawasaki, Triumph, MV Agusta, Royal Enfield and BMW Motorrad.

Event organiser Mark Petersen said the line-up of new models confirmed for the show was incredible.

“The Sydney Motorcycle Show is organised by motorcyclists and the motorcycle industry for motorcycle enthusiasts,” said Petersen. “From the smallest of kids bikes to the largest cruisers and the fastest superbikes there is something for everyone.

“To have so many bikes being released just days after EICMA is a credit to the manufacturers. Next Wednesday we will reveal all the new models being launched at the show."

A huge line-up of motorcycle entertainment is scheduled throughout the weekend, including the Head2Head EnduroCross, which will see riders duel on a 2500sqm purpose-built track located within the 3000-seat Charles Moses Stadium.

The 2015 Sydney Motorcycle Show will also have an action-packed line-up of motorcycle stunt talent including Lukey Luke, Dave McKenna and Jack Field.

Bikesales will also be there, and we have some tasty bikes on our stand as well: a custom Indian Scout, custom Harley-Davidson Street 500, and a Zero electric bike.  Drop in and say hello — and even peruse our websites to  check out the latest editorial, start searching for a new bike or even begin preparations to sell one.
