Triumph Australia has announced that lowered seat height versions of the Tiger 800XCx and Tiger 800XRx adventure bikes will go on sale in September 2015, price at $15,090 and $16,590 respectively — the same as the current versions.

The 'shorty' versions lop 50mm off the standard bikes, through a combination of the accessory low seat and revised suspension. The Tiger 800 XRx's low seat is is 760mm, while the Tiger 800 XCx's is 790mm. According to Triumph, the two machines now have the lowest seats heights in both the ‘mag wheel’ and ‘spoke wheel’ segments.
“The new lowered models will offer many customers who previously felt uncomfortable or lacked confidence on the taller versions to reconsider the opportunity of owning an adventure bike and setting out on the many adventures available in our great riding country,” said Triumph Marketing Manager Mark Berger.
The new low versions still offer all of the features and benefits of the XRx and XCx including rider modes, cruise control, throttle maps. The lowered XRx also picks up an aluminium sump guard and a revised radiator guard.
The 50mm low seat option doesn't apply to the base model Tiger 800 XR and Tiger 800 XC. Contact your local Triumph dealer for more information.
