The event, which features topless porn stars on motorcycles and in convertibles, has run for a few years but this is the first time it has sought and received a permit. While councilors are upset about the approval it appears they are powerless to stop it happening as it technically does not break the law.
The Age newspaper reports: Councillor Noelene Raffills said the parade is not acceptable for that time of day in the busy shopping street.
"It is not like a television set you can turn off or a book you can shut," Raffills told the newspaper.
