Polaris Industries has issued a safety alert and recall for its 2015 RZR XP 1000 and RZR XP4 1000 side-by-side models.
The models affected by the recall are Z15VDE99AP, Z15VDE99AV, Z15VDE99AW, and Z15VDE99EW.
The company says that the vehicles may have been manufactured with an improperly routed fuel tank vent line which may cause the vent line to become plugged, kinked, or pinched. A kinked, pinched, or plugged vent line can cause the fuel tank to build pressure and expand. The expansion of the fuel tank may result in contact of the spinning prop shaft which could result in a fuel leak.
Polaris is urging owners not to operate vehicles until repairs are completed by your Polaris dealer.
The work will be performed at no cost to owners.
The company says that while your Polaris RZR dealer is in the best position to answer your questions, if you have any questions your dealer can't address, you can call the Customer Service Department on 03 9394 5610,
