Piaggio says its new X10 350 Executive is aimed at the astute rider looking for performance, practicality and style.
Manufactured in Italy, the X10 350 Executive brings an impressive suite of features not readily available on comparable models for the rider who expects technology and luxury.
The chassis offers riders a low, stable centre of gravity and lightweight engine design making the model surprisingly agile. Weight reduction is achieved by Piaggio's compact dry sump design while performance is more in line with comparable 400cc powered models, we're told.
The combined braking system is linked through the left lever with electronic ABS on both front and rear. Traction control (designated ASR or Acceleration Slip Reduction) provides rider protection from unexpected wheel spin. An 'ECO' mode switch provides greater control over performance and economy to maximise range from the large 15.5-litre fuel tank.
There's an on-board trip computer with LCD screen, backlit handlebar switch blocks, large screen and glove compartments with 12-volt and USB outlets.
An expansive saddle, set at a height of 760mm, is ergonomically designed to provide maximum stability and comfort. The lumbar support can be adjusted to rider's optimum seating position and lifting the saddle reveals a big 52-litre storage area.
The windshield features a double bend profile and turbulence limiting slot for improved rider and passenger comfort while two transparent aerodynamic side-trims deflect air flow on either side of the bike.
An additional safety feature is the side-stand-applied park brake, the rider simply engages the side stand which automatically applies the brake, keeping the bike stable while parked on unlevel ground. Piaggio's standard electronic vehicle immobiliser provides additional peace of mind when leaving the bike.
Wheel size is a combination of large-diameter 15" front rims to provide stable road holding, while the rear 13" rim allows the bike to utilise engine performance and retain its sleek integrated panel design and enable the large under seat storage.
A wide range of accessories are available, for the X10 350 Executive including quick release top boxes in two sizes, Piaggio Multimedia Platform, leg cover, central tunnel bag, comfort gel saddle, passenger backrest, electronic anti-theft system, sports top fairing and bike cover.
The X10 350 Executive is available now and comes with a two-year unlimited km warranty. MLP is $9490.
