Tasmanian racer Matthew Phillips has made history, the 23-year-old recently becoming the first-ever EnduroGP World Champion.
Riding a Sherco 300SEF-R, Phillips secured the title in Cahors, France, on the weekend, were he held onto his comfortable points lead in the final two days of the inaugural EnduroGP competition.
The EnduroGP class spans all riders and all classes, and was introduced to determine the overall fastest rider across all the traditional Enduro classes. To that end, Phillips also emerged victorious in the E2 Enduro class.
