PFG relinquishes MV Agusta and Cagiva

Service and warranty back-up to be provided by another company with no official distributor for the two marques in Australia

There is no longer an official Australian distributor for MV Agusta and Cagiva, with the Queensland-based Paul Feeney Group (PFG) relinquishing its rights after a long association with the Italian brands.

PFG will continue to be the Australian distributor for TGB ATVs and Husqvarna.

The news that PFG is bowing out of its MV/Cagiva alliance doesn't come as a great surprise, as the two marques have been struggling to gain traction in Australia for some time.

Last year, local dealers retailed just 65 MVs and 14 Cagivas, and halfway trough this year the numbers are 27 and two respectively - clearly an untenable situation for PFG.

MV Agusta and Cagiva are owned by Harley-Davidson, which is currently trying to offload the Italian icons.
