Peter Stevens opens massive workshop

Country's biggest service centre

Peter Stevens Motorcycles in Melbourne has recently opened Australia's biggest motorcycle workshop.

The multi-franchise retailer has located the facility just around the corner from its Elizabeth Street store in the centre of Melbourne, in an art deco style building in A'Beckett Street.

Manger Nick Wurf (pictured) says, "We can do anything except paint."

That includes machining and specialist hot-up work, as the set-up incorporates a machine shop and dyno room, run by well-known tuner Andrew Hallam.

With a massive 1700 square metres of floor space, it has bays for 20 mechanics each fitted with two workstations complete with lifts.

Wurf says customers are greeted by specialist workshop advisors - one each for American, Japanese and European makes.
