Latino actor Antonio Banderas may have decided to stop bankrolling the Jack&Jones Moto2 team, but another high profile celebrity is jumping onto the MotoGP support series in 2011.
Her name starts with Paris and ends with Hilton.
As bizarre as it sounds, the pairing of Paris Hilton -- the Hilton hotel heiress and serial party girl -- and a new 125GP team has officially been announced in Madrid. Team SuperMartxé VIP by Paris Hilton will field two riders: 2010 Spanish 125 GP champion Maverick
Vinales and former Pons Racing Moto2 rider Sergio Gadea.
We're tipping that Hilton attending races and fawning over a 125GP team and its baby-faced riders has the potential to attract a lot more viewers to the MotoGP caravan.
It's not yet clear how Hilton came to be involved in the team, or to what extent she is funding the operation, but with her name tagged onto the end of the team, it's likely she's injected a fair bit of cash into the team.
