Well-regarded Sydney-based motorcycle customiser Deus Ex Machina has released a special edition coffee table book chronicling its exploits both in word and photograph.
Taking up a hefty 300 pages, Deus has decided to print just 2000 copies of the book, which are priced at $89 a pop.
From the outside it looks like a fairly fancy-pants, nicely bound tome of knowledge, but The House of Simple Pleasures takes readers on a journey through the companies history in less structured order.
Some pages are filled with photography of bikes, or bike components, even bicycles, all lovingly photographed of course - while others feature sketches, drawings, tee-shirt designs and other random ideas.
Though The House of Simple Pleasures does chronicle most of the company's products and milestones since its humble beginning around half-a-dozen years ago, the book is more of a cultural insight to the way the Australian motorcycle shop has evolved - its identity as a creative business - rather than a traditional tale of the company's history.
If you like classic custom bikes, this one's worth a look. Check out the Deus Ex Machina for more details.
