No Melbourne Motorcycle Expo in 2009
But back in 2010 as it begins alternating with SydneyThe organiser of the Australian Motorcycle Expos has officially confirmed what has been an open secret for some time - the showswill now be held on alternate years in Melbourne and Sydney.
Melbourne will be the first to miss out, with the only expo to be held this year at Sydney's Olympic Park from November 20-22.
The Gold Coast expo, which also incorporates dedicated personal watercraft and scooter exhibitions, will be held on February 19-21 next year, with Melbourne to return to the calendar nine months later in November.
The car industry has adopted the same rotation between Australia's two biggest cities, with the next Melbourne car show not set down until 2011.
