The Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 that Aussie Josh Waters is riding as a wildcard in this weekend’s opening round of the Superbike World Championship at Phillip Island not only looks trick, but it’s using a brand new R-11R racing exhaust from the famed Japanese aftermarket tuning house.
Called the R-11R, it features a newly designed internal structure as well as an ‘organically’ shaped end-cap partially enclosing a dual-exit.
It’s being tested in the heat of extreme battle before being made available to the public, in both road and race form.
Details on the production version will follow later in the year, and full technical specifications, fitment options and sleeve finishes will be announced as soon as they become available.
The Australian Yoshimura distributor is Mat Mladin Imports, Yoshi@matmladinimports.com.au.
