Motorcycling Australia has given the green light for the introduction of a two-stoke motocross series in 2019.
To be officially known as the ‘Yamaha bLU cRU 2 Stroke Nationals 2019’, the aim of the Williams Event Management-run series is to help develop Australia’s emerging talent and give them a wider range of racing opportunities. Competition will also be held for senior riders.

Three rounds will be held across Victoria, the ACT and Queensland, across the following classes:
Junior
• 65cc
• 85cc
• 125cc
Senior
• All powers
• Retro
“Motorcycling Australia has had a long relationship with Williams Event Management, and we are pleased to be able to work alongside them with creating a series that will aid in the development of the junior riders in preparation for international competition,” said Peter Doyle, the CEO of Motorcycling Australia.
“The senior two-stroke stroke classes are a great opportunity for the dads and other amateur-level riders to put some fun back into their racing as well as encouraging some legends of the sport to pull their boots back on for some healthy competition against prior rivals and teammates.”

Each class will have just over 60 minutes hour of track time at each event.
Full details including supplementary regulations and entries will be available at www.mxnationals.com.au on January 7.
