New Suzuki V-Strom 800 revealed for 2024

Suzuki's middleweight adventure range has a new entry point for 2024

Suzuki has added another model to its V-Strom adventure range, with the new V-Strom 800 set to arrive in Australia in early 2024.

Joining the dirt-friendly V-Strom 800DE that was launched earlier in 2023, the new V-Strom 800 offers a more road-biased take on the dual-sport segment and will act as an entry point into the middleweight adventure range.

It will arrive on Aussie shores with a price tag of $17,490 ride away and will be powered by the same 776cc parallel-twin engine featured in its DE counterpart. For reference, the V-Strom 800DE checks in at $18,590 ride away.

The V-Strom 800 will also feature much of the tech seen on the DE version including four traction control modes, two ABS modes, a bi-directional quickshifter, the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System, a 5-inch TFT display, a USB port and LED lighting.

Where the new bike does differ, is with its 19- and 17-inch cast-alloy wheels that offer more tarmac performance compared to the DE’s dirt-focused 21- and 17-inch spoked wheels. The new V-Strom 800 also has a chassis and ride position that is more directed at touring comfort.

The bike is available in just one colour – Pearl Vigor Blue – and will arrive on Australian dealer floors in January 2024. Suzuki Australia has said there will be “limited supply”, so interested customers are encourage to reserve their unit on the online Build Your Bike page.
