
Here's what the importer says about the machine: This model is based on the Yamaha YZ-250F engine, a liquid cooled, double overhead cam, 5-valve engine, which has been heavily modified for trials.
Modifications include trials specific transmission, flywheel, clutch, ignition, etc.
Its totally new frame uses chromoly steel tubing linked to a forged billet aluminum sub-frame , technology found in the Aerospace and Formula 1 industries. The new, 700 gram lighter, swingarm uses extruded honeycomb billet aluminum linked to a new Paoli rear shock.
The brakes are a new design, with a 182 mm diameter floating disc up front, and 144 mm non-floating disc on the rear. New discs have been increased in thickness to improve braking performance and reduce noise.
The front forks are a Paoli design, and significantly lighter than the previous model.
Handlebar and footpeg mounts have variable positioning, allowing them to be moved forward and backward to suit the riders preference.
It also has a new airbox and filter design, using a cotton air filter element as found in Formula 1 racing. The aluminum dual exhaust looks straight out of World Superbikes with it's underseat design wrapped in black protectors. A unique design feature is the chassis utilizes the exhaust as the rear subframe, to add strength and save weight. Recommended retail is $11,350. .
