New products: MA-approved Ariete goggles
Roll, don't tear, with Ariete Terra gogglesThe Aussie importer of Ariete Optics, Link International, has released an off-road goggle with a new roll-off system following the change in regulations which will ban tear-offs from all Motorcycling Australia-affiliated races from January 1, 2017.
Instead of tearing off a film and discarding it, the roll-off system slides across the goggle lens and, according to the brand, employs an innovative anti-stick slide rail which prevents the film from sticking to it.
Included are two canisters either side of the lens: one from which the films rolls and one to which the film rolls to. Two rolls of film are provided – one fitted to the lens and one spare – as well as a mud visor and slide rail.
The system is available either as a complete roll-off equipped Terra goggle, which retails for $119.95, or as a roll-off equipped lens kit that can be retro-fitted to any Ariete-branded goggle frame and carries a retail price of $89.95.
