Suzuki Australia chose the Australian round of the MotoGP Championship to release its new factory motorcycle oil brand, Ecstar.
Suzuki describes the oil as “a premium product … developed in the highest level of motorcycle competition by Suzuki for your Suzuki.”
The oil will initially be available in two lines: R7000 is a 10W40 semi-synthetic oil, while R9000 is a 10W40 fully synthetic oil.
Both oils will be available in one and four-litre bottles from January via Suzuki’s official motorcycle dealer network.
The brand has actually been available in Japan since 1984, but with Suzuki returning to MotoGP the decision was made to take it to a global platform, as promoted by Suzuki Ecstar MotoGP riders Maverick Viñales and Aleix Espargaro.
“We’re very excited to officially launch the Ecstar brand in Australia,” said National Motorcycle Marketing, Lewis Croft.
“There’s been a lot of interest from the public and our dealer network since returning to MotoGP and we’re pleased to be able to offer the very best oil product to our customers.”
The oil will be joined by other grades, plus chemicals and lubricants, later next year.
Pricing is as follows:
R9000 4lt: $99.95
R9000 1lt: $27.95
R7000 4lt: $69.95
R7000 1lt: $19.95
