New product: States MX wheel sets
States MX says its motocross wheel sets offer extra strength at no extra weightDirt bike component specialist States MX recently expanded its range of alloy products to include motocross wheel sets. Constructed from aircraft-grade 7050 T6 alloy, the rims go through a three-stage heat treatment process to achieve the highest strength possible – States MX says these wheels are around 15 per cent stronger than regular dirt bike rims yet they retain the same weight. The hubs are forged and CNC machined to precise specifications.
Other features include a curved ‘V’ profile to reduce mud build-up, heavy-duty stainless steel spokes, and colour-coded 7075 T6 alloy nipples.
Priced at $899 per set, they’re available in a 21in front and 19in rear in a range of hub and spoke nipple colours to suit most late-model motocross bikes.
