New product: Macna Equator women's jacket

This all-weather women's riding jacket features a removable waterproof shell and inner thermal liner for year-round comfort

Women are cut from a different cloth and Macna is catering for the ladies with its gender-specific Equator jacket.

Macna says the polyamide/polyester jacket is "cut specifically to fit the female form".

It is also intended to be used in all conditions. The interior thermal lining and outer waterproof coat can be removed for summer riding and there are zippered ventilation panels in the chest, back and arms.

CE-certified Level 2 protectors are fitted to the elbows and shoulders, along with a 12mm EVA foam back pad.

The Equator has integrated reflective panels but is also ready to take a Vision Vest should the owner want extra visibility.

Other features of the $499.95 jacket include a collar loop and a zipper system to fasten the jacket to compatible Macna pants.

The Equator is available in sizes from XS to 2XL.
