New product: Held Rainblock Zip
Andy Strapz has teamed up with bike apparel specialist Held to create these ‘easy on’ waterproof and breathable wet-weather pantsThese Held Rainblock Zip wet-weather overpants are the result of a collaboration between motorcycle apparel specialist Held, Held’s Australian importer, Made in Germany, and Aussie accessories specialist, Andy Strapz.
Together, the businesses have basically combined the best of Held’s Cloudburst and Rainblock pants into the one pair of wet-weather overpants: the Held Rainblock Zip.
Constructed with a 2.5-layer bonded fabric with full zippered sides to make them easy to get on or off over your regular riding trousers or jeans, Andy Strapz says the Held Rainblock Zip pants are waterproof but breathable, lightweight and stretchable, meaning they’ll keep you comfortable and dry, while packing down to a very compact size.
The fabric itself comprises an outer fabric, a waterproof membrane, and a print on the inside to protect the membrane. This laminate/coating acts as a barrier to help protect the membrane against friction, sweat, dirt, or other oils that could clog the pores, affecting breathability, says Andy Strapz.
Designed in Australia, Andy Strapz says the Held Rainblock Zip wet-weather pants are now produced exclusively for the Australian market.
The trousers come with a mesh carry bag for storage.
