AGV has launched its most versatile adventure helmet to date. The AX9 is designed to be worn in four different configurations by removing the peak and swapping out the visor for a pair of goggles.
The new helmets have also been engineered to accept AGV’s soon-to-launch ARK aerodynamic communications system as well as generic Bluetooth products.
The shell is made from carbon, aramid and fibreglass while the removable interior has moisture-wicking cheek pads and top liner and a water-resistant neckroll designed to stop water from channelling inside the helmet.

Prices start at $699 for the AX9 in a solid colour (black or white), rise to $799 for the multi-coloured versions and top out at $899 for the AX9 Matt Carbon.
The AX9 comes in three different shell sizes with four different densities of EPS lining, meaning it can fit heads from 51-66cm.
The peak has been wind-tunnel tested to stop lift as high speeds and the visor has six hold positions including a “vent” position to improve demisting.
Five vents – an adjustable chin vent, two brow inlets and a pair of rear extractors – let riders control how much air makes it inside the helmet and AGV says the AX9 has been tested at a low 97 decibels at 110km/h.
