New look for Aprilia Scarabeo 200

Aprilia's popular Scarabeo 200 scooter gets a fresh new look for the 2013 model year, and is available in black or white

Australia’s Aprilia importer and distributor, John Sample Automotive, has unveiled its 2013 Scarabeo 200 scooter, with the popular big-wheel model receiving new styling and new front and side graphics.

The model is powered by a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 181cc, four-valve, single-cylinder engine that Aprilia claims is good for 14kW (19hp) and 17.1Nm. The scoot also has a 7.5-litre fuel tank and the entire package weighs in at a claimed 146kg (dry).

The 2013 Aprilia Scarabeo 200 is available in white or black and is available now.

Meanwhile, John Sample Automotive has also announced it is expecting the first shipment of Arrow exhausts to suit its SR Max 300 scooter to land shortly. This full Arrow system retails for $649, and the importer says it gives the sports scooter the bark to match its bite. Comprising steel headers and a muffler, the system also comes with a removable baffle to reduce the decibels.
