New Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX for 2025

Kawasaki has updated its sport tourer with a bigger inline four-cylinder engine and a bunch of new gear

The fifth generation of Kawasaki’s inline four-cylinder sport tourer has been overhauled for 2025, with a bigger engine, improved running gear, and new features.

With dynamic Ninja styling and a supersport-style chassis, the Ninja 1100SX is focused on striking a balance between sporting performance and touring comfort.

The liquid-cooled inline-four engine is now 1099cc and has increased performance, with Kawasaki claiming it delivers about 107Nm of torque.

Also new is an updated quickshifter, while the bike also comes with Kawasaki’s full suite of IMU-enhanced electronics.

Kawasaki claims fuel economy has been improved, thanks in part to longer 5th and 6th gears, revised engine components, and a lower rev limit. There is also apparently less vibration through the handlebar thanks to heavier ‘bar ends.

Also new is a handlebar-mounted USB-C outlet, as well as voice-operated smartphone connectivity via the Rideology app.

An up-spec SE version also features new Brembo M4.32 calipers up front as well as a new Ohlins S46 rear shock.

Local pricing and specification are yet to be announced, but Kawasaki Motors Australia has confirmed the new machine for our shores.
