New Indian models headed for Australia

The 2023 Indian Motorcycle range features a wide array of updates

Indian Motorcycle has revealed its line-up for 2023 with a new Indian FTR Sport and an updated Indian Challenger Elite coming to Australia.

The 2023 Indian FTR Sport replaces the FTR S and sits just below the premium FTR R Carbon. It features bold aesthetics and upgraded technology, including a 4-inch touchscreen, the Indian Ride Command system, three ride modes, and Cornering ABS and traction control.

Still powered by the liquid-cooled 1203cc V-twin engine, the FTR Sport also introduces a new tank panel design and is available in Black Metallic with Indy Red accents and White Lightning with Indy Red and Black Metallic accents.

The 2023 Indian FTR Sport checks in with a ride-away price of $25,995.

Meanwhile the 2023 Indian Challenger Elite joins the standard model, the Dark Horse, and the Limited in the Challenger line-up.

Limited to just 150 units worldwide, the exclusive Challenger Elite includes premium features such as electronically adjustable suspension from Fox, smart lean technology, adaptive LED lighting, adjustable windscreen, select floorboards, heated grips, an audio system with saddlebag speakers, and Precision Cut five-spoke wheels.

It is still powered by Indian's PowerPlus engine, will check in at $47,995 ride away and will be available in Sapphire Blue Smoke.

Other updates across the Indian range include a new clutch for the Thunderstroke and PowerPlus models, a redesigned headlight for the Springfield, Chieftain, Challenger, Roadmaster and Pursuit models, integrated heated seat buttons on the PowerPlus and Thunderstroke models, and a lower fairing storage compartment as standard on Pursuit models.

There is also a wide array of new paint colours across the range. The 2023 models will beginning shipping soon, with the first bikes expected to arrive locally from March/April 2023.
