Husaberg has expanded its model range to include an FE390.
The Swedish manufacturer, owned by KTM since 1995, is launching the machine to press in Spain this week.
The 390 is a shorter stroke 450, with the bore remaining the same. All the FE range, which also includes the 570, now has the same 70-degree engine layout, which has been universally applauded since its release.
According to Sam Maclachlan, the editor of Australasian Dirt Bike, the 70-degree layout makes the 390 "feel like a 250F, but with much easier power and more of it."
Sam continued: "While the 450 already feels like a trial bike compared to other 450s, it is especially the case with the 390, which can pick its way over serious snot without needing to wipe its nose.
"The suspension is very soft and the bike feels smaller than the bigger enduros. The power is good, but obviously better suited to tight riding rather than top end hauling -- that's what the bigger bikes are for."
The FE450 and FE470 have also undergone a few changes for the 2010 model year, including larger steering offset for more front end stability and feel.
The Bikesales Network will have full details on all three bikes in coming weeks.
