The iconic Hornet moniker is officially reborn, with the all-new 2023 Honda CB750 Hornet middleweight naked bike set to arrive on Australian shores in the second quarter of 2023.
As revealed in September, the latest Hornet is powered by a brand-new 755cc parallel twin cylinder engine that delivers 67.5kW at 9500rpm and 75Nm at 7250rpm.
Honda says the new machine will weight just 190kg wet, making for a power-to-weight ratio of 0.36kW/kg (2.81kg/kW). The bike appears to be designed with minimal weight, compactness, and agile handling firmly in mind.

The CB750 Hornet features ride-by-wire which allows for three default ride modes that can easily be switched via the handlebar-mounted switchblock and the 5-inch TFT display.
Each of the three modes (Rain, Standard, and Sport) offers a different combination of engine power, engine brake, and traction control (or torque control). There is also integrated wheelie control, while torque control can also be switched off. A fourth “User” mode allows for each parameter to be individually customised.
Another key tech feature is Bluetooth smartphone connectivity with voice control, which can connect with a helmet-mounted headset.
Elsewhere, the new Hornet features a Showa 41mm SFF-BP fork with 130mm travel, as well as a Pro-Link rear shock absorber with 150mm of travel. Braking is handled by Nissin components and dual 296mm discs at the front and a single 240mm disc at the rear.
The Hornet also features LED lighting, lightweight 17-inch wheels, a 15.2 L fuel tank, and sharp naked bike styling. The bike has a seat height of 795mm and a ground clearance of 170mm, while the steel diamond frame weighs just 16.6kg.
Available in both Graphite Black and Pearl Jasmine White, the new 2023 Honda CB750 Hornet is due to land in Australia early next year, however there is currently no word on pricing.
