New home for Husky
Big expansion at VareseHusqvarna is rolling ahead with a new three-storey 40,000 square metre headquarters, to be completed in 2009 and expected to allow the firm to bump production capacity to 40,000 units per year.
It will complement the existing facility in Varese, Italy.
"The building of Husqvarna Motorcycles' HQ at Cassinetta di Biandronno shows how keen our firm and the whole BMW Group are to invest in Italy, and in the area of Varese in particular: not just in setting up new buildings, but also in finding the right workforce, and especially the right highly skilled staff," said company boss Rainer Thoma.
Husky was recently acquired by BMW.
