New Enduro-X series for Australia
A three-round national Enduro-X series has been launched in Australia, commencing in February, 2014 in BrisbaneFollowing the success of the Enduro-x event at Calder Park Raceway at Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne, the promoter has now decided to take the next step and expand the formula into a national series.
The KTM Enduro-X Series has been launched, and will commence in 2014 with the following calendar:
- Rd1, Brisbane Speedway, Archerfield, February 2
- Rd2, Sydney Speedway, Parramatta, February 15
- Rd3, Calder Park Raceway, Melbourne, March 2
“After two successful events in Melbourne and industry support growing, it was the logical next step to take the event to a semi national series," said promoter Dave Robbins stated. "With good venues and facilities close to capital cities it allows for greater crowd interaction, both on the track and in the open pit area.
"With a compact calendar of three events over four weeks in duration it opens the door for many top international riders to compete against Australia’s top riders.”
KTM Australia has thrown its full support behind the series.
“We are delighted to be involved in this exciting concept of motorcycle racing in Australia," said KTM Australian boss Jeff Leisk. "The sports growth in such a short time in Australia has been amazing.”
