The Ducati Multistrada V4 platform has been given a significant update for 2025, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and comfort.
Revealed as part of the Ducati World Premiere video series, the new 2025 Multistrada V4 benefits from a host of new features and refinements, including new technology, better fuel economy, and a fresh new look inspired by the 916 and 1098 models.
While the engine and chassis have remained largely unchanged, the new V4 adds Euro5+ compliance, as well as a repositioned swingarm pivot to increase anti-squat.
There is no change to the power output, but the rear cylinder deactivation system has been extended, aiding comfort and supposably reducing fuel consumption by up to 6 per cent.
Another improvement is the Skyhook EVO semi-active suspension system, which comes standard on the V4 S model. It has a new sensor mounted on the fork, as well as a self-leveling function, which lowers the bike at slow speeds.
The base Multistrada V4 is fitted with mechanical Marzocchi suspension, while the high-spec Pikes Peak model comes with top-shelf semi-active Ohlins EC 2.0 electronics suspension.
A front collision warning function has been added to the existing radar system, while new cornering lights improve visibility at nighttime.
Another new feature is the Ducati Vehicle Observer, which has been developed by the Italian firm’s MotoGP outfit. It uses input from 70 sensors and works with the IMU to optimise the cornering ABS, wheelie control, and traction control features.
There are also now three levels of engine brake control and an improve electronic combined braking system, which modulates the action on the front and rear brakes to guarantee ideal performance.
Local pricing for the 2025 Multistrada V4, V4 S, and V4 Pikes Peak, is yet to be announced, but all three models are expected to be available internationally from October 2024.
