The burgeoning ranks of CFMOTO’s naked-bike range have swelled yet again, with the new CFMOTO 450NK joining the line-up also comprising the 150NK, 300NK, 650NK, 800NK and 800NK Advanced.
Powered by the same 449cc parallel-twin found in the recently introduced 450SR sportsbike, the LAMS (Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme) CFMOTO 450NK produces a claimed 50hp (37kW) at 9500rpm and 39Nm at 7600rpm, in a package weighing 165kg (wet).
An easy, upright riding position is tailor-made for newcomers, but don’t think its entry-level status means it’s short-changed on decent specification. To that end, the CFMOTO 450NK comes standard with LED lighting, a slipper clutch, CFMOTO’s T-Box for smartphone connectivity, and a curved 5.0-inch TFT instrument display.
The 795mm seat height should prove manageable for most while the bike’s 14L fuel tank is said to afford a range of over 300 kilometres.
Braking is handled by a single 320mm front disc gripped by a four-piston J.Juan radial-mount caliper, with a 220mm disc with single-piston caliper at the rear. And the alloy wheels are shod with CST tyres.
On the safety front, standard ABS is backed up by traction control, while the T-box unit enables vehicle-to-phone connectivity, plus features like over-the-air (OTA) updates, security and anti-theft functions, trip recording, and an array of vehicle data, all accessible via the CFMOTO RIDE app.
CFMOTO describes the 450NK as, “A culmination of CFMOTO’s advanced technology and mechanical prowess encapsulated in an unrivalled style that redefines the middleweight naked bike segment”.
Available in Nebula Black or Nebula White, the CFMOTO 450NK is priced at $7790 ride away (with six months’ registration) and comes backed by CFMOTO’s three-year warranty program. See your nearest CFMOTO dealership for more information.
