New CEO for Motorcycling Australia

Outgoing CEO David White will be succeeded by Dale Gilson, who has been the boss of Speedway Australia for the last five years

Dale Gilson has been appointed CEO of Motorcycling Australia, replacing the outgoing David White.

Gilson has been the CEO of Speedway Australia for the last five years, and before that the head of Four Wheel Drive Victoria prior.

"I would like to thank the Motorcycling Australia Board for the opportunity to join the MA team," Mr Gilson said, "And I am looking forward to the challenge and working with the MA staff, state bodies and all the key stakeholders in the best interests of motorcycling in Australia."

The interview process for the position focused on leadership, finance, marketing and communications, sport development, volunteer management and engagement, conflict resolution, working with a board and an ability to work with government across all levels

"Dale Gilson has demonstrated abilities across the core responsibilities for the position and interviewed as highly acceptable in other areas of concern,” said Ray Jonkers, the Vice President of MA.

Gilson will begin as CEO at MA on May 12, 2014.
