New boss for Harley-Davidson Australia

Nigel Keogh is the new managing director for Australia and New Zealand, and the 13-year company veteran will take up his position on July 1, 2014

Australian Nigel Keogh has replaced Peter Nochar as the managing director for Harley-Davidson Australian and New Zealand.

Nigel has many years of experience with the brand, and has recently based out of Miami as Regional Director of Product, Planning and Operations for Harley-Davidson Latin America. Prior to this, he had held the position of Manager of Financial Planning at the company’s headquarters in Milwaukee following a period as Financial Controller for New Castalloy Pty Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Harley-Davidson) in Adelaide.

Nigel will return to Sydney with his family to join the Motor Company’s Asia-Pacific region from July 1, 2014. His new role will see him lead all in-country activities for Harley-Davidson products and services across Australia and New Zealand, heading up the senior management team for both countries. The position is responsible for sales, marketing and distribution operations, as well as dealer relations, and operational activities.

“Joining Harley-Davidson Australia to take on the responsibility of the Managing Director role is a great honour, said Nigel, an accounting graduate. “It’s a very exciting time for the brand, especially in Australia and New Zealand, so I have no doubt it will be a hugely rewarding to work with the team Down Under which has been doing such a fantastic job over the past few years.

“Working in the States and throughout Latin America with the Harley-Davidson family has given me a fantastic insight into the brand and its values; I will be bringing this knowledge with me as Harley-Davidson Australia looks to maintain its growth and success in the future.

“To say I’m looking-forward to it would be an understatement – I’m already revved up and raring to go, ready to hit the open road with the new Rushmore product and our customers.”
