New Australian distributor for Sherco

The French enduro bikes -- two- and four-stroke -- will now be distributed locally by rapidly expanding Melbourne company Mojo Motorcycles

French motorcycle manufacturer Sherco will now be distributed in Australia by Melbourne-based company Mojo Motorcycles.

The deal will deliver Sherco’s two- and four-stroke endure range onto the local market, and Mojo Motorcycles is also keen to increase the brand’s presence in the local off-road racing scene.

“We’re definitely both young and aggressive companies and equally excited about this opportunity,” said Michael Poynton, the CEO of Moto Motorcycles.

“We see Sherco as an up and coming brand and are excited about the results they are getting internationally, both in the marketplace and in competition and we plan to emulate those results in Australia.”

Mojo Motorcycles is already the Australian importer for CF Moto, Daelim, TGB and KTM bikes.

The first shipment of Sherco two-strokes under the Mojo watch is expected to arrive in May 2014, with the four-strokes following in June.

The terms of the agreement will see the previous Sherco importer, Moto Central Group, continue with the distribution for the moto trials line-up.
