The Victorian-based Mojo Motorcycles has been appointed as the official Australian Daelim distributor, taking over from Asia Motors.
Under the terms of the new relationship, Mojo Motorcycles will be responsible for the distribution, sales and marketing of Daelim’s exciting range of motorcycles and scooters within Australia.
The company will offer Australian consumers a revised line-up of motorcycles and scooters, spearheaded by the VJF250, an aggressively styled sports bike.
The VJF’s engine is both fuel injected and liquid-cooled, and fuel capacity is 15 litres. Daelim claims power of 21.3hp.
It has a five-speed gearbox, dual disc brakes, and non-adjustable suspension -- conventional 37mm forks and a monoshock rear end.
The wheelbase is a compact 1393mm, and the tyre sizes are 110/70 and 140/60 on 17-inch rubber. There's an adjustable brake lever, transparent indicator lenses, and combo digital-analogue instrumentation.
“Our revised product line-up, including the VJF250, will fit exceptionally well within the current market place and offer consumers a real choice,” said Mojo General Manager Michael Poynton.
“We are extremely impressed with the build quality of these products and, once our new pricing structure is revealed, I’m sure our customers will be too.”
All products offered in Australia will be supported by a two-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
A complete product line-up and competitive pricing structure is expected to be confirmed by the end of October, and stock of the VJF250 is expected to be available in early November.
Daelim Motor Company, like Hyosung (and Kawasaki for that matter), is a subsidiary of a massive industrial group in South Korea, and has its headquarters in yeongsangnam-do, a province in the south-east of the country.
