New Australian distributor for Benelli
Back to business for the Italian marqueFollowing the collapse of the previous importer, Stoney Creek Power Sports (SCPS), Benelli has a new custodian in Australia - the NSW-based Motorsport Importers.
"Motorsport Importers will continue to develop the Benelli brand in Australia and build on the foundations laid by Stoney Creek Power Sports," said Craig Moodley, Director, Motorsport Importers. "The Benelli brand is synonymous with its 900cc and 1130cc torquey triples, but expect to see exciting models in new categories including off-road and mid-range later in 2009.
"Benelli scooters have been well accepted and larger capacity 250cc models will also be released later in the year."
According to Moodley, the Benelli stock previously held by SCPS is still under the control of its administrator, and enquiries will continue on that matter.
As far as the line-up is concerned, Motorsport Importers will maintain the same motorcycle range as before, but the scooter selection may change slightly.
Meanwhile, Motorsport Importers will continue to provide Benelli spares and warranty support via its established dealer network. Owners should contact their nearest Benelli dealer for more information.
