Australian import and distribution company Mojo Motorcycles has been appointed as the official distributor for Taiwanese marque Kymco.
Joining CFMoto, SWM and Sherco in Mojo’s import and distribution stable, Kymco (an acronym of Kwang Yang Motor Co) is the world’s fifth largest scooter manufacturer and currently produces 1.2 million motorcycle, scooters, ATV, side-by-side and two-wheeled electric vehicles each year.
Director of Mojo Motorcycles Michael Poynton is looking forward to the opportunities the appointment offers both his business and the Australian marketplace.
“Kymco is a terrific fit for our business,” he said. “We’re a dynamic and progressive company and Kymco is going to really disrupt our established competitors by injecting a new level of activity and energy into the market.
“Kymco steadfast reputation for quality, great features and value for money are sure to strike a chord with Aussie riders and provide a real alternative choice.”
President of Mymco Chun-Ping Ko said he’s looking forward to the new distribution channel to coincide with the New Year.
“Australia is one of the most important opportunities for Kymco as we extend our reach as a global brand and this new partnership with Mojo Motorcycles will really focus our efforts,” he said.
The warranty on existing Kymco products will be unaffected by the move.
