Harley-Davidson has revealed a new model for 2026, with the Softail-based Deadwood set to make its public debut at Sturgis in August.
But Australian riders look set to miss out, with a Harley-Davidson press release stating the 2026 Deadwood is "available only in the United States and Canada".
The North American exclusivity follows a similar pattern to the Super Glide, which was launched earlier in 2026. It is unclear if these models will be get an Australian release in the future, but with the Deadwood essentially acting as a stripped-back Heritage Classic, and the Super Glide offering many similarities to the Street Bob, it would make sense if the brand's local arm opted not to bring them Down Under.

The Harley-Davidson Deadwood joins the American brand's Softail cruiser lineup and is inspired by stripped-down, garage-built Harley-Davidson motorcycles that were popular after World War II.
It is powered by the proven Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-twin engine, producing up to 89hp and 163Nm. It also features a 2-into-1 exhaust system, a preload-adjustable monoshock, a 49mm dual-bending valve fork, single 300mm front and 292mm rear brake discs, tubeless laced wheels with cast aluminium rims, and Dunlop Harley-Davidson Series tyres.
The Deadwood also comes fitted with modern safety technology, including cornering ABS, traction control, drag-torque slip control, tyre pressure monitoring, and three ride modes. Other features include LED lighting, a small LCD display, a USB-C charging port, and two under-seat heated gear connectors.
Pricing for the Deadwood starts at US$17,999, with the model expected to arrive in US and Canadian dealerships soon.
