MV's Turismo Veloce RC storms in

Exotic, race-bred Latin sportstourer with the Reparto Corse treatment is on sale now

Drawing on the lessons learned in the World Superbike and World Supersports Championships, and harnessing all the design acumen of the Castiglioni Research Centre (CRC), the new MV Agusta Turismo Veloce RC is now on sale in Australia.

The Reparto Corse (RC) iteration of the model is only available in strictly limited numbers, and boasts a striking race livery and a list of high-spec enhancements. The model follows in the wheel tracks of other MV Agusta Reparto Corse models such as the Dragster 800 RC.

The 800cc three-cylinder engine has been finished with a black surface treatment, while the use of LED lighting technology is said to give the bike a unique identity. There's a carbon-fibre deflector on the front mudguard while the forged wheels are derived from those used on the F4RC sportsbike.

The front engine mounts have been strengthened for increased longitudinal chassis stiffness and a host of engine mods are said to reduce vibration and noise while enhancing refinement.

A new six-speed gearbox delivers faster, more precise shifting, says MV Agusta, and the gearing has been further optimised to suit the bike's sportstouring role.

The electronics, too, have also been refined. The MVICS 2.0 system (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System) features electronically assisted shifting (both up and down) and eight-level traction control. Refinements have been made to the bike's various engine maps (Touring, Sport and Rain) as well as to the ride-by-wire system for improved throttle response.

The bike rolls on Sachs semi-active suspension with electronic adjustment, while the package is rounded out by a Garmin sat-nav system, panniers, centrestand, adjustable windshield, heated grips and cruise control.

Limited to just 250 examples worldwide, MV Agusta's Turismo Veloce RC is available now – visit www.mvagusta.com.au for more information. Price is $29,880 ride away.
